Wuhan University School of History
作为国家文科基础学科（历史学）人才培养和科学研究基地，学院设有历史学基地班、世界史试验班和考古学三个本科专业。历史学基地班于2007年入选教育部“质量工程”高等学校特色专业建设点。2008年，教育部、财政部批准武汉大学设立“历史学人才培养模式创新实验区”。2009年，《中国古代史》被评为国家级精品课程；2010年，《世界近代史》被评为国家级精品课程；2019年入选教育部“双万计划”一流本科建设点；2020年，《简明世界史（一）》被评为国家级线上线下混合式一流课程、《简明世界史（一）（二）》被评为国家级线上一流课程；2021年，冯天瑜教授、杨华教授等著《中国文化史（彩色增订本）》获首届全国优秀教材二等奖；2022年，《田野考古》被评为省级一流社会实践课程。 学院师资力量雄厚。专任教师全部拥有博士学位，其中有教授23人，副教授29人，讲师1人，特聘副研究员6人，聘期制讲师2人，博士后9人；博士生导师29人。拥有国家级有突出贡献中青年专家2名，国务院学科评议组成员1名，教育部社会科学委员会委员2名，国家社会科学基金项目学科评审组专家3名，全国博士后管委会专家组成员1名，全国古籍整理出版规划领
