The Japanese Society of Nutrition and Dietetics
本学会は、昭和29年(1954年)に栄養改善法制定を記念して、第1回日本栄養改善学会(現在の日本栄養改善学会学術総会)を東京ＹＭＣＡ講堂で開催して以来、栄養改善に関する研究と実践を推進してきました。 平成16年には、特定非営利活動法人日本栄養改善学会に改組、学術団体としての組織の基盤整備を図り、栄養学の学術としての発展と活用を通して、日本人の健康の維持増進に寄与する活動をしてきております。また、平成17年より日本学術会議の「協力学術研究団体」に登録されております。 本学会の特徴は、栄養学の実践と研究の強い結び付きにあります。両者を担う学会員が集まり、相互に連携し切磋琢磨しています。研究は実践のためであり、実践は研究成果を活用する場であると同時に、次の研究課題を発見する場でもあります。この特徴を最大限に活かし、少子超高齢化が進展する日本社会の健康課題の解決に寄与すべく、科学的根拠に基づく活動を積極的に展開しています。
