財團法人地工技術研究發展基金會由地工技術雜誌社及國內大地工程界知名學者、專家共同捐助成立，並於民國七十七年報請內政部核准組成。基金會成立以來歷經歐晉德先生，陳斗生先生、胡邵敏先生、黃子明先生與李建中先生、陳正興先生、鍾毓東先生、鄭文隆先生、俞清瀚先生、周功台先生十任十一屆董事長之領導經營。現有贊助人 255 位，法人贊助 18 個單位。
