ハリマ化成グループ株式会社創業者の長谷川末吉は、はやくからトール油（松の油）に着目し、1952年にトール油の試験生産を開始して以来、研究開発を通じてトール油の可能性を追求してきました。その長年にわたる功績が認められ、1982年に長谷川末吉は科学技術庁（現文部科学省）より”科学技術功労者賞”を受賞しました。 ハリマ化成グループは、この栄誉を機に、科学技術に関する調査・研究に対する助成・奨励を行うことにより、科学技術の振興と世界文化の発展に寄与することを目的として、1983年3月”財団法人松籟科学技術振興財団”を設立し、2013年4月1日をもって、公益法人の認定を受け公益財団法人となりました。 わが国にとって、創造的な化学技術や世界をリードする科学技術の創出・振興は、すべての業界、企業にとって共通する重要課題です。これらの推進は、もとより一企業一業種では解決し得ないものであり、広く各界の英知を結集しなければならないものです。 この時代の要請を踏まえ、松籟科学技術振興財団は、科学技術に関する調査・研究に対する助成・奨励を行うことにより、科学技術の振興と世界文化の発展に寄与することを目的として
