子どものための運動遊びや里山探検、高齢者の介護予防、中高年の生活習慣病予防、また障がいの有無等に関わらず、誰もが楽しめるユニバーサルスポーツの普及などに取り組み、それぞれの活動の中で保健・医療・福祉・介護・教育・スポーツなど、幅広い分野から調査研究を行い、教育や啓発、情報発信をしています。そして、活動から生まれる幅広いネットワークも活かして、誰もが健やかに暮らせるような地域づくり（公共政策づくり）に寄与していくことを目的に活動をしています。 私たち“しんたい”は、誰もが「からだを育み、こころを育み、きずなを育み」ながら、地域で健やかに暮らし続けられることを願って、研究と実践をしています。
