Moritani Scholarship Foundation

財団法人守谷育英会は、株式会社守谷商会の創業70周年記念事業の一環として1972年11月育英奨学事業を目的とした公益法人として正式に発足しました。その後、守谷商会の第２代社長である故守谷正毅氏および第３代社長である故守谷一郎氏より個人財産の寄付を受け、財団としての運営基盤が確立されました。財団発足以来、多くの学生・生徒に対する奨学金給与活動を続け、さらに1983年7月研究助成ならびに寄付賛助の事業を開始、1993年に育英奨学事業の内に修学奨励金を追加することで、事業活動を拡大しました。公益法人制度改革に関する法律の施行にともない、2013 年4月に「一般財団法人守谷育英会」へ移行しました。
