1953（昭和28）年、これを三木のり平さんにお願いしたところ、のり平さんは、「私がとやかく言うより、絵でも描きましょう」とご自分の似顔絵を入れ、シャレたコピーを添えてくれました。この新聞広告は「突き出し広告」という縦は新聞の一段分、横はおよそ６～７センチの小さなものです。このひとコマ漫画のようなスタイルが評判を呼び、「のり平漫筆」というのり平さんが描く広告シリーズとなりました。 「則子」という名前、普通に読むと「のりこ」となります。第二次世界大戦の際、同級生が出征するなか、のり平さんには徴兵検査の知らせが届きませんでした。戸籍係が「のりこ」と思い、戸籍を男から女に書き直していたのです。役所に問い合わせ、やっと検査を受け、いよいよ入隊となったところで、終戦を迎えました。入隊予定日は、終戦の3日後、1945（昭和20）年8月18日になっていました。 桃屋がテレビＣＭを開始したのは、1953（昭和28）年。その後、少ない予算でありながらも、もっと印象的なＣＭをつくろうと考え、1958（昭和33）年、新聞のシリーズ広告でおなじみとなった、のり平さんのキャラクターでいろいろなパロディアニメをつ
