In 1892 begon de grondlegger van ons bedrijf, suikerbakker Diesch, in Middelburg met het maken van de echte Zeeuwse Boterbabbelaar. Vanaf de jaren 20 van de vorige eeuw werden die verpakt in de beroemde blikjes die de Zeeuwen zelf graag leeg snoepen, toeristen vaak kopen als souvenir en verzamelaars als collector’s item. De Echte Zeeuwse Boterbabbelaar is ook nu nog altijd zeer geliefd, meer dan 125 jaar nadat JB Diesch het snoepje voor het eerst op de markt bracht!
