Japanese Red Cross Society Tokyo Chapter

日本赤十字社東京都支部は、全国47都道府県にある日本赤十字社の支部のひとつとして、1887年に東京府委員部として誕生しました。1897年に東京支部と改称され（1953年から新社法により東京都支部に改正）、「人道」を理念に災害救護、国際救援・開発協力、講習会の普及、ボランティア活動、青少年赤十字活動、国際人道法の普及など、さまざまな活動を行っています。これらの活動は、都民をはじめとした皆さまからお寄せいただいた活動資金や寄付を財源として行われています。また、都内には赤十字病院、血液センター、福祉施設があり、同じく「人道」を理念に医療事業、血液事業、社会福祉事業を行っています。更に、東京都内全ての地域の人々に赤十字の活動が届くよう、都内各区市町村には、赤十字事業の推進を担う事務局（地区・分区）が設置されています。なお、東京都支部の活動は、赤十字ボランティアをはじめとする多くの方々によって支えられています。
