その後、高知支部を経て、昭和27年（1952年）3月1日に高知県支部に改称したのち、今日に至るまで、国内外での災害救護、医療（高知赤十字病院）・血液（高知県赤十字血液センター）などの事業、救急法などの普及、奉仕団活動、青少年赤十字など幅広い分野で活動をしています。 日本赤十字社高知県支部は、全国47都道府県にある日本赤十字社の支部のひとつとして、明治20年（1887年）11月15日に日本赤十字社高知県委員部として設置されました。 特に、支部（事務局）の活動は、赤十字会員や県民の皆様、市町村、社会福祉協議会、赤十字奉仕団など多くの皆様からのご理解やご支援などによって支えられています。
