Japanese Red Cross Society Fukushima Chapter

日本赤十字社福島県支部は、全国47都道府県にある日本赤十字社の支部のひとつとして、1889年（明治22年）に日本赤十字社福島県委員部として誕生しました。その後、1894年（明治27年）に日本赤十字社福島支部、1952年（昭和27年）日本赤十字社法の制定に伴い日本赤十字社福島県支部と改称され、現在に至っています。福島県支部は「人道」を理念として、災害救護活動、救急法等の普及、奉仕団（ボランティア）活動、青少年赤十字（ＪＲＣ）活動、社会福祉活動、国際活動など、幅広い活動を行っています。こうした活動は、県民の皆さまからお寄せいただいた活動資金を財源として行われています。また、県内には福島赤十字病院、福島県赤十字血液センターがあり、同じく「人道」を理念として医療事業、血液事業を行っています。更に、福島県内すべての地域の人々に赤十字の活動が届くよう、県内の各市町村には、赤十字事業の推進を担う事務局（地区・分区）が設置されています。福島県支部の活動は、赤十字奉仕団をはじめとするボランティアの皆さまや活動資金にご協力くださる皆さまなど、多くの方々に支えられています。 1888年（明治21年）7月15
