Japanese Red Cross Society Fukuoka Chapter

日本赤十字社福岡県支部は、全国47都道府県にある日本赤十字社の支部のひとつとして、1888年に福岡県委員部として誕生しました。1894年に福岡支部と改称され、「人道」を理念に災害救護、国際救援・開発協力、講習普及、ボランティア活動、青少年赤十字活動、国際人道法普及など、さまざまな活動を行っています。これらの活動は、県民の皆さまからお寄せいただいた活動資金を財源として行われています。また、県内には赤十字病院、血液センター、社会福祉施設、看護大学があり、同じく「人道」を理念に医療事業、血液事業、社会福祉事業、看護師等の養成を行っています。さらに、福岡県内全ての地域の人々に赤十字の活動が届くよう、県内各市町村には、赤十字事業の推進を担う事務局（地区・分区）が設置されています。赤十字ボランティアをはじめとする多くの方々によって、福岡県支部の活動は支えられています。
