Japanese Red Cross Society Aomori Chapter

青森県支部では、「人道」を理念に国際救援・開発協力、災害救護、安全講習会普及、ボランティア活動、青少年赤十字活動、国際人道法普及など、さまざまな活動を行っています。これらの活動は、県民からお寄せいただいた活動資金（会費や寄付金）を財源として行われています。また、県内には赤十字病院、血液センター、福祉施設（はまなす医療療育センター）があり、同じく「人道」を理念に医療事業、血液事業、障害児・者の医療療育にかかる事業を行っています。更に、青森県内全ての地域の人々に赤十字の活動が届くよう、県内各市町村には、赤十字事業の推進を担う事務局（地区・分区）が設置されています。 日本赤十字社青森県支部は、全国47都道府県にある日本赤十字社の支部のひとつとして、1887年に青森県委員部として誕生しました。1895年に青森支部、1952年に青森県支部と改称され、現在に至っています。
