Japan Women Engineers Forum
JWEFは、1999年7月に第11回 国際女性技術者・科学者会議(ICWES-11 : 11th International Conference of Women Engineers and Scientists)のシンポジウムを千葉県幕張で開催したINWES Japan* (International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists, Japan)のメンバーです。４年ごとに各国持ち回りで開催されるICWESを日本で開くに当たり、日本女性科学者の会が中心となって数年前から開催準備をしていましたが、当時日本には女性技術者の会がありませんでした。女性技術者の正確な状況も把握できていませんでした。そこで、これを契機に、これからの日本には女性技術者の相互支援の場が必要との声が上がり、JWEFの設立準備会ができました。数野美つ子氏を中心に、田中咸子氏、國井秀子氏、上條茉莉子氏などが発起人となり、理数系の大学卒業者に呼びかけをおこないました。約150名の女性技術者が個人参加で集まり、1992年に日本女性技術者フォーラムJWEFが誕生しました。初
