I am the chief editor of a peer-reviewed journal and I am employed by a large research and environmental management institute in Norway. It's an excellent working environment, but there are no other journal editors in the organization, so in that sense I am isolated. Being a member of ISMTE makes me feel part of a large network of editors, which is reassuring.
