Institute of Philosophy, KU Leuven

Every year, the HIW and the ISP (UCLouvain) award the Mercier Prize to a work from the field of metaphysics, "first philosophy" or ontology in their relationship to the contemporary world. The organisation of the edition of 2026 is in the hands of the HIW. The prize is open to students, researchers and professors from Belgium and abroad, without distinction of language.
