V IKEM se ročně uskuteční téměř 1 300 kardiochirurgických operací, 1000 katetrizačních ablací, 1200 angioplastik a přes 800 implantací ICD a kardiostimulátorů. Je zde prováděno více než 60% všech orgánových transplantací ČR. IKEM zajišťuje 100 % všech transplantací tkání produkujících inzulin (pankreas, Langerhansovy ostrůvky), jako jediné centrum v ČR provádí transplantace dělohy a multiviscerální transplantace včetně transplantace tenkého střeva.
