本公司自民國四十七年成立以來，迄今已過五十餘載寒暑，始終秉持著「服務大眾，惠利行旅」為宗旨。 花蓮縣受地形限制，早期道路交通環境惡劣，全由本公司負責全縣的大眾運輸工作，特別是東海岸臺11線行駛至靜浦、成功，臺8線行駛至天祥、梨山，配合地方上之需求規劃路線、增加班次，以利民行。目前本公司之營運路線網早已涵蓋花蓮、台東、南投地區，並於各鄉鎮設置營業站所，擴大服務層面。 本公司目前主要維繫花蓮、台東兩地區之公路客運業者，亦全力連結相關之輸運據點及旅遊勝地，使全台民眾及國際旅遊觀光人仕全面感受舒適、便捷，是本公司之使命、責任和榮譽，今後公司與同仁「同心同德」珍惜努力所得之成果，在本公司「安全、舒適、親切」的三大目標下，革新管理，期使本公司光輝歷史，永續成長。本公司於99年度各路線營運績效獲主管機關評鑑為甲等，經營能力上獲得肯定。
