Georg Pschorr Senior übernimmt nach dem Tod seines Vaters Joseph Pschorr die Brauerei „Zum Pschorr“ und sein Bruder Matthias Pschorr Senior die Hacker-Brauerei. Die direkte Anbindung an das Bahnnetz ermöglicht es den fortan getrennt geführten Brauereien, ihre Biersorten national und international zu exportieren. Schon 1823 konnte Joseph Pschorr als einer der Ersten dank seiner mit Natureis gekühlten „Bierfestung“ eine gleichbleibende Bierqualität sicherstellen.
