At age 28, our founder, Michael O’Neil underwent aggressive surgery and chemotherapy in order to treat his non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. While his clinical treatment was excellent, he often felt that his care was being done to him rather than with him. During treatment, Michael spent a lot of time waiting and wondering, a state that fueled his desire to change the status quo so that others would not have to go through a similar experience.
