Folkemødet

Every year, the Danish people and the politicians who represent them meet eye to eye beneath the open sky of the town of Allinge, at the northern tip of the Danish island of Bornholm. It takes place during the twenty fourth week of the year at the Danish Festival of Democracy, AKA The People’s Meeting (Folkemødet) where democracy is celebrated through respectful dialogue and debate in an atmosphere of true community.
