花と緑の銀行には、本店・支店・地方銀行があります。それぞれの地方銀行には頭取（まとめ役）・グリーンキーパー（指導者）がいて、地域の緑化に尽力しています。 推進にあたっては、「花と緑の元気とやま推進プラン」に沿って「花と緑をはぐくむ事業」「花と緑にふれあう事業」「花と緑をすすめる事業」の3つの事業を柱としています。 公益財団法人 花と緑の銀行は、花と緑に満ちた潤いのある社会になるよう、富山県の“花と緑の県づくり”をすすめる“推進母体”として、昭和48年5月9日に設立されました。 また、当財団は、県が設置する「富山県中央植物園」及び「県民公園 頼成の森」において、指定管理者として管理運営を行っています。
