1993年10月には、著作隣接権に基づく使用料、報酬、補償金等を広く徴収し、個々の実演家（権利者）に確実に分配するために、芸団協、日本音楽事業者協会（音事協）とともに芸団協・実演家著作隣接権センター（CPRA＝Center for Performers' Rights Administration）を発足しました。ここに誰の実演が利用されたかを特定し、利用の多少に応じて個々の実演家(権利者)に、二次使用料等が適正に分配される体制が確立しました。その後インターネットの発展とともに映像コンテンツに関しても、様々な利用形態が生まれ、実演家の権利を権利者自らが対応し守ることが急務となりました。 2010年4月には音事協、芸団協とともに映像コンテンツ権利処理機構(aRma=audiovisual Rights management association)を発足しました。放送番組のネット上での映像二次使用についても、利用者（NHK、民放各局）からの許諾窓口を開始すると共に、 2011年4月からはビデオグラム化と番組販売の二次利用申請の受付を開始しました。権利者が大同団結して権利の集中管理を行うこ
