公益社団法人 全国産業資源循環連合会の前身である全国産業廃棄物連合会は、産業廃棄物の適正処理を推進し、国民の生活環境の保全と産業の健全な発展に貢献することを目的として昭和53年に創立されました。その後、昭和60年に厚生大臣の許可を受けて社団法人化され、平成13年からは環境大臣の所管となりました。平成23年4月1日からは、公益法人制度改革に伴う移行において、内閣総理大臣より公益社団法人の認定を受け、公益社団法人全国産業廃棄物連合会として、新たにスタートいたしました。さらに、平成30年4月1日、公益社団法人全国産業資源循環連合会と名称を変更し、産業廃棄物の適正処理に加え、適正な再資源化に関する取組を行っています。当連合会は、主に産業廃棄物処理業者が参加している全国47都道府県協会の中央団体です。産業廃棄物の適正な処理体制の確立や資源循環型社会のための調査研究及び人材育成、産業廃棄物処理業における地球温暖化防止の取り組みや災害廃棄物処理の支援などの事業を展開しています。 日本は物質的に豊かな社会になりましたが、大量の廃棄物が適正に処理されず深刻な環境問題を引き起こしております。廃棄物の中には
