旧法人同様に防衛施設周辺の生活環境の整備等に関する諸問題の解決と改善、その他必要とされる施策についての調査及び研究を行い、その結果を国及び地方公共団体等の施策に反映させ、また、必要な事業の推進に協力し、もって民生の安定及び福祉の向上に寄与することを目的として引き続き活動してまいります。 当協会は、旧財団法人防衛施設周辺整備協会（昭和52年6月に全国241市町村（当時）の寄付金等を原資として設立）の設立趣旨と活動実績をもとに、公益法人制度改革法の規定に基づき平成26年4月に誕生した一般財団法人です。
