子曰：「德之流行，速於置郵而傳命。」以此譬喻道德教化之播揚，比郵驛傳遞命令更為快速，可見遠在周朝之前郵驛制度已經存在。古代驛遞為軍政專用，未能澤被普羅大眾，直至清光緒22年2月7日(西元1896年3月20日)，總理各國事務衙門據海關總稅務司赫德所擬開辦之郵政章程，奏報清廷奉旨「依議」，自此郵政國營始獲法定地位，翌年1月1日(1897年2月2日) 正式開設大清郵政官局。 郵政博物館3樓「郵驛春秋」以「郵遞」為主軸，依序規劃「古代郵驛」、「現代郵政」、「軍郵」及「郵遞之旅」等展區，詳盡介紹自周秦以來的郵驛體系、國家郵政的創辦與發展、劉銘傳在臺灣的現代化郵政、獨虎郵政及軍郵特殊歷史意義與貢獻。並以古今運郵工具模型、郵筒、郵政機具及籃車等展示，呈現郵政發展的軌跡；別具特色的環型劇場播映「傳遞思念的工程」影片，展現郵遞收攬、封發、運輸、投遞作業過程，以及郵政人員敬業樂業、使命必達的精神。沉浸式展場氛圍，引人入勝，歡迎蒞臨細細品位郵政歷史的雋永文化。 民國105年為誌郵政博物館50週年館慶，特集結館藏之精華於2樓展出，如「大龍票」、「慈禧壽辰紀念郵票」、「紅印花加蓋暫作郵票」、「上海版飛雁加印郵票
