Caribbean Aviation Safety and Security Oversight System

In 2001, seven Member States of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) agreed to form an Association of Civil Aviation Authorities of the Caribbean (ACAAC). The Association was formed under the aegis of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). The decision was based on shared goals of the orderly and safe development of aviation in the Region, and the recognition of the need to collaborate by maximizing the use of the Region’s scarce resources.
