Before becoming the name of the award-winning wine in the environmentally friendly box, “bota” (pronounced boh-tuh) was a 19th-century term for a leather wine pouch carried by thirsty travelers. While our 100% recyclable boxes are just as portable, we’re more about enjoying new things than keeping old traditions. That’s why “BOTA” now stands for: Be Open To Anything.
