Berkeley County Museum & Heritage Center
In 1992, The Berkeley County Museum and Heritage Center opened its doors in a new building reminiscent of an old working plantation home. The museum was the creation of a diverse group of civic leaders, preservationists, businesses, and historians. The Berkeley County Historical Society was the founding body of the Berkeley County Museum and Heritage Center.
