Astronomical Society of Las Cruces

We’re the Astronomical Society of Las Cruces. We bring free, public stargazing and astronomy programs to Southern New Mexico - from daytime views of our Sun to monthly downtown MoonGaze evenings to dark-sky observing under some of the best skies in the SW US. We’ve been doing this since 1951, when a small crew of seriously passionate sky-watchers - including Clyde Tombaugh, the guy who discovered Pluto - decided Las Cruces needed a community built around the cosmos.
