Association of Japanese Theatre Companies
日本劇団協議会は、文部省認可の現代演劇で唯一の社団法人として、 1992年（平成４年）６月30日、新劇団協議会を母体として設立されました。 その後2008年（平成20年）12月の公益法人制度改革関連3法の施行を受け、 2012年（平成24年）3月、内閣総理大臣より公益社団法人の認定を受け、同年4月１日に登記いたしました。 現代演劇の振興に関する事業を行い、演劇創造団体間の交流・連携を図り、 芸術文化の発展向上に寄与することを目的とし活動しております。 人間ひとりひとりはとても弱い生き物です。ライオンやトラやゾウと１対１で対峙したら絶対に勝てないでしょう。その弱い人間が、なぜ地球上で生き物の頂点とも言える位置に立っているのか？ それは弱いがゆえに、強いものに立ち向かうために、言葉を発明し、集団で連携して生き延びてきたからです。しかし今、世界は分断と対立が加速し、人と人とのつながりが希薄になってきています。また、日本でも少子高齢化や孤独と孤立が社会の大きな問題となってきています。 日本劇団協議会と加盟する劇団は、現代社会と向き合って、時には観る人の心を癒し、時には勇気づけ、時には新たな視点
